My business Mrs. Picky Fanicky's foods started out as a passion of canning and preserving southern marmalades and making chutney, you see my grandmother made the first batch of Marmalade for Hi Acres that sold to Deep South which was a part of Winn-Dixie Stores. I ended up with her cooking genes and her cookbook, i love entering the State Fair in the food preservation category and have won numerous Blue Ribbons for my products which has now turned into a prerequisite before i will take them to market. In my travels i kept taste testing biscuits so that i could do a pairing of biscuits with my MmmMarmalades, then i was invited to Knoxville for the International Biscuit Festival cookoff, well upon winning third place overall we have now decided to pair both a Marmalade and a half dozen Biskits in a sweet container to make it possible for our great customers to have their biskit as a kit ready to enjoy. We use southern traditional methods of handmade biscuits in an antique wooden trough and all are handmade. I love spreading the word of delicious North Carolina products and really enjoy sharing the scientific aspects of making terrific marmalades, but the best is trying to educate our youth on the whole idea of keeping southern traditional recipes alive and I'm so passionate about what i do that is has never been work only a blessing because I love what i do..after all i am Mrs. Picky
