Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Murali Macherla treats patients at Arizona Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons PLLC. His expertise includes Lung and Esophageal cancer, as well as Thoracic and Abdominal aneurysms. He performs Open, Endovascular repair of aneurysms and video-assisted Thoracoscopic surgery (VATS).

Dr. Murali Macherla’s other interests include complex Hybrid Procedures, peripheral endovascular interventions,and Robot Assisted Lobectomies. He is board certified in Thoracic surgery and General surgery. He had co-authored a Chapter destination therapy with permanent mechanical circulatory assist devices published in Heart Failure Surgical Volume 2.

Dr. Murali Macherla completed training General Surgery training at Memorial Medical center, followed by a Thoracic surgery residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. He completed an Endovascular Fellowship at Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix. Dr. Macherla has also presented at several conventions, including the Society of Thoracic Surgeons meeting and the Western Regional Trauma Conference.
