Growing up in a time when technology was just beginning to advance to a point that it was available for the average consumer I became heavily influenced by the utopian utility that this technology could provide.

Beginning as soon as I was able I became heavily involved in the “online realm"—participating in online games, wikis, forums, chat rooms, and beyond. During my time in the role of a consumer I continued to notice a disconnect between companies and the userbase that fueled them. Luckily during my online career I've had the chance to work alongside some amazing community managers and moderators who've pioneered online community management alongside e-safety and from their teachings learned a lot of impactful lessons along the way.

From my experiences I've developed some core principles that I now adhere to in all of my efforts. This is why I practice what I call “Consumer Care”, rather than the traditionally known “Customer Service”. The core concept of the “Consumer Care” method is that, rather than just your companies ‘Customer’ we appeal to the ‘Consumer’. Rather than just providing ‘Service’ (which we often see from companies as “doing only what is necessary to ensure no liability”) we provide ‘Care’ (which we see as “going above and beyond to any length possible to ensure your relationship (or ”Good Will") with your consumer is strengthened with every interaction.")
