Nalin Rohatgi
Born in India, raised in Brazil and higher-educated in the US, Nalin Rohatgi has since the mid ‘90s been living & working in the US in globally-focused roles. Nalin is a Director on Nokia Corporation’s Location & Commerce business, based in Chicago, IL, focusing on digital mapping and location-based products & services. His responsibilities span the Automotive, Enterprise and Consumer industry verticals and across the North & South American markets. In his previous role, Nalin was Global Manager of Business Development & Strategy in Microsoft Corporation’s OEM Mobile & Embedded Business, where he led a multinational team responsible for worldwide channel partner sales, business development and marketing strategy for Windows® Phone, Windows Mobile® & Windows® Embedded Handheld products. Prior to joining the Mobile & Embedded sales division, Nalin was part of the Mobile & Embedded product group as International Program Manager, where he was responsible for leading globalization projects for the product planning, development and release of Windows Mobile® & Windows® Embedded products in international markets. Nalin started at Microsoft in 2003, based in Seattle, WA, as Technical Account Manager where he managed Premier Enterprise accounts across Latin America, serving as the owner of customers’ operational health with their use of Microsoft’s platform & messaging technologies.
Prior to Microsoft, Nalin was Global Infrastructure Project Manager with Shell Oil Company in Houston, Texas, managing the Global IT Infrastructure project for deployment in Shell’s subsidiaries throughout Latin America. Nalin also worked for Hewlett-Packard Company’s Enterprise Services arm as an IT Consultant on the Continental Airlines & Enron Corporation accounts. He started his career at Reynolds & Reynolds as a member of the Brazil market entry team responsible for the development and implementation of a localized version of the UCS automotive dealership information management system.
