Nancy Staab

Overland Park

An editor of more than a decade, Nancy Staab majored in English and minored in art history at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts. Subsequently, Nancy Staab gained admission into the University of North Carolina, where she received a master’s degree in English and American literature and a PhD in Renaissance and 19th century literature, following the completion of a multidisciplinary dissertation on Sir Thomas Browne and the Renaissance culture.

Ms. Staab launched her editorial career at Southern Living Magazine, a Time-Warner publication, as an assistant homes editor in Birmingham, Alabama. She wrote and produced interior design articles and was tasked with managing and styling photo shoots. The following year, Ms. Staab accepted a position as senior editor of architecture and gardens at Southern Accents, an upscale national design magazine, where she edited and produced up to six full-length features per issue . She spent five years honing her skills as an editor, directing photo shoots, managing freelance writers, and boosting advertising returns. Nancy Staab also led as a deputy editor of PaperCity Magazine and as editor-in-chief of LuxeCrush.com. In 2014, she joined 435 Magazine as executive editor. She leverages her expertise to curate articles on topics ranging from food and drink to art and culture.
