Natasha Thomas

I am a 23 year old graduate from Warwick University. I studied English Literature for my degree, and I currently work for Jamie Oliver's Italian as part of the team at his newest restaurant in Bluewater. I have learnt many transferrable skills from this job; it is an excellent company to work for, with great people and employee support in place, and is run on a foundation of values and passion. However, it was only ever meant as an interim job, and I am setting my sights now to what I really want to do. I am ready for a challenge and responsibility.

Why PR? Well I thoroughly enjoyed the little experience I have had in a communications agency and although it has taken some time, I am certain that this is the right career path for me. I am keen to gain more experience, and fast. I have excellent natural communication skills, both oral and written, and I want to put these to good use, coupled with my creativity. I am ready to challenge myself and hopefully work on great brands and great ideas, to learn from the best in a fun, fast-paced environment.

I have keen perception skills and an ability to analyse specific to each different situation, product and audience. I believe communication is the key to any successful business and I am keen to put my natural and honed skills to good use, working with media brands that I am passionate about. I have always been a good communicator in both written assignments and in personal and professional relationships, which is of course vital for pursuing a career in PR.

Although work with the technology side of your agency would not be my strength, I am willing to give everything a go, would rise to the challange, and am a fast learner. I would be keen to develop and expand my interest and knowledge in this way. On the other hand, I am extremely excited by the media and feel that I can contribute well to such a multi-faceted, ever-developing sector. I would feel privileged to gain an opportunity to come and work with your team on such exciting campaigns, and where better to learn the world of PR than from a well-connected top media agency like Babel.
