I am 37 years old, My beautiful wife Laura and I have been married for 13 years and we have 4 wonderful children. Alexis 12, Madison 10, Connor 7 and Ciana 2. For fun we love spending time together going for walks, swimming, camping, watching family movies together and acting. I'm a big fan of the Cleveland Browns and my wife Laura is a Detroit Lions fan. We're a great match.
Growing up I had to deal with a # of things that were out of my control. I was a child of divorced parents, my father was an alcoholic, I struggled in school due to a learning disability and I'm short...which invited a lot of bullying. I was always longing for control in my life but everything seemed out of my control. I just felt that something was missing, something I couldn't seem to grasp. My father took my to Catholic church and school but even as a child I had trouble really understanding who God was and really what Christ had done for me on the cross. I was always told that if I was a good kid that my salvation would be set, only problem was I didn't always feel like a good kid. It was when I moved to Florida to live with my mother that I began to see God in a different way. A friend of mine invited me to church and a year later at summer camp, I made a personal decision to follow Christ and give Him my life. What I had been missing, I found in Christ.
I answered the Lord's call into full time ministry in high school. In 1997, close to 2 years after I graduated, I joined an Intern'l Drama Ministry-Covenant Players where I traveled through the US and Europe. It was here that I got a real taste and love of ministry and it was there that I found the love of my life, my wife Laura. In 2002, we settled down in Orlando, FL where I served as a Children's Pastor at E. Orlando Bapt Ch. In 2003, we moved to Lynchburg, VA where I attended Liberty University, and it was there that Prof Rich Brown asked me if I'd be interested in becoming the Ass. Director of YouthQuest, a ministry out of LU. We would travel to various youth groups where I would give 3-4 messages during the weekend. In 2008 I was ordained by my Sr. Pastor Carl Weiser of Hyland Heights Bapt Ch. I was hired in June of 2009 as the Youth Pastor of King's Highway Bapt Ch. In the summer I ran the church kids summer camp. At the end of the summer I would also help run our VBS in the evenings. In 2011 I was hired as the Youth Pastor at Grove Bapt Ch. My wife and I also ran our church's VBS for 2 years.
