My life has always revolved around caregiving.

After various jobs I returned to school in 1999 and received my Personal Support Worker certificate continuing to care for seniors.

In my retirement years, I continue to find connections and enjoy sharing my experiences in caregiving - and supporting other caregivers. I enjoy meeting people on Social Media - giving encouragement, connecting people with others who can offer support or information.

I am encouraged to see discussions that include all levels of healthcare professionals - and most importantly patients, family members and their circle of support. This is an important step forward in communicating and sharing.

I am a member of the Walking Gallery, a movement started by Regina Holliday who with her paintbrush began painting patient stories on the back of suit jackets.

I was honoured to attend #medx2015 September, at Stanford in Califoria. It was incredible to speak to others about my passion for seniors and the vulnerable. It was wonderful to meet connections from many corners of the world who had been online connections and now are real life connections and friends.
