Nayyera Haq

Nayyera Haq joined the Presidential Administration of Barack Obama in November 2008. She has held multiple White House, Department of State, and Department of Treasury positions, most recently serving as Senior Director of Cabinet Affairs. In this role, Nayyera Haq concentrated her efforts on the development of strategies to execute the President’s agenda on topics as diverse as the economy and military affairs.

During her time as Senior Director of Cabinet Affairs, Nayyera Haq established a program that drew on the insight of over 200 emerging asset managers and state investment officers. The program goal sought to more effectively invest $400 billion in federal assets. Prior to serving the White House, Nayyera Haq spent three years with the Department of State as Senior Advisor of Public Affairs where she developed a communications program to reach an audience of more than 200 million people. Her past appointments also include Spokesperson on Economic Policy for the Department of Treasury.

Nayyera is presently Founder and CEO of Avicenna Strategy, a firm that consults a variety of high-profile clients in the area of global engagement aimed at lessening the gap between Western and Eastern cultures.
