Sydney Tucker

To start with...
My name is Sydney :) I'm a freshman at UGA, and I cannot imagine going to a school I love more! I meet fabulous people every day, and there's always awesome activities to fill the days. The student body as a whole is more than I could have imagined; it truly has a heart for people and service. There are philanthropies constantly rolling, and the excitement for it never ends. I've never been in a place with so many options for getting involved. So, I've gotten involved with as many things as I can manage, and I've learned more this year than any other year of my life! The PASSION Conference of 2012 changed me forever, and the UGA HEROs 2011 Olympics showed me how undeservingly fortunate I am and how much I want to give these kids the support they need!

What to love?
I love people-- meeting them, helping them, and spending time with them. I love occassionally pretending like I'm still a little kid. I love taking trips-- somewhere across the country or some cool place half a second away! And I love those ideas that most people call 'ridiculous'.

What to think?
I think that we should all give more than we get, and we should never take for granted a single thing that we are given. I think we should all speak out for what we believe in... as Elie Wiesel said, "silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented". And I think we should fight for the causes we beleive in!

What I am...
I'm a statistics and public relations major, and I will love my job! I'm determined, dedicated, random, easily amused, and waaay too big of a sarcasm fan. I'm optimistic, and I believe that it's contagious--and something that we should all be spreading it!
