Nick Tuma

Nicholas was born on May 24 and grew up in Florida.

There were not many role models in Nicholas’s life while growing up, but that did not detour him from achieving his ambitions. He was especially interested in management, business, and graphic communication. Fortunately, his parents encouraged those interests and that support motivated him to excel in his passions. He graduated from the Cypress Lake Center for the Arts high school with a considerable portfolio and 3.1 GPA. Also while in his junior year in high school, he enlisted into the Army National Guard as a Private First Class. This action molded him into a savvy, mature, business-orientated type. In 2004, however, Nicholas became conscious of his biggest dream of pursuing high education. As well as enrollment in a trade school for desktop publishing assistant, he earned an Associate of Arts degree from Tallahassee community college in 2007. Furthermore, he graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communications in 2013 with a 3.8 GPA.

Nicholas’s accomplishments did not end there. 2003-04 he was activated in conjunction with mission Enduring Freedom at MacDill Air Force Base. In addition, in 2009-10, he deployed with the U.S. ARMY to Mosul, Iraq. During which he supervised the upkeep of all equipment within his squad and analyzed, planned, executed 25 missions across Iraq at Company/Battalion level. While at Florida A&M University he became the student Vice President of Epsilon Pi Tau: Beta Lambda Chapter, which is an International Honor Society for Professionals in Technology.

No obstacle was too great for Nicholas to overcome!

Today he mentors young people, to pursue higher learning. His life examples teach us to follow our dreams, no matter how great the challenge!
