Nick A Prater

Throughout a career that has spanned four decades, Dr. Nick A. Prater has practiced dentistry and orthodontics with a focus on children and adolescents. He has also cared for a large number of infants, performing tongue-tie and lip procedures as needed. Dr. Nick Prater’s history of soft and hard tissue surgery includes 15 years of dental laser experience.

In addition to treating patients directly, Dr. Nick Prater has helped train the next generation of dental professionals as a pediatric dental resident supervisor, a teaching assistant with Dr. Gerald Samson, and a frequent public speaker at professional gatherings. He holds active membership in multiple associations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

Outside of the clinical realm, Dr. Prater enjoys doing yard work on his expansive home property. He and his wife Patricia have two adult children. His son Sean practices as a psychiatrist, while his daughter Breanna followed him into pediatric dentistry.
