Nick DePalo

Nick DePalo has achieved great success in the film industry with a career spanning over a decade. His films, which he has written, directed, and starred in, have earned him award-winning success such as Best Picture and Best Screenplay. His films and documentaries have also had the privilege to be successful worldwide, which were featured in magazines such as Muscle & Fitness and Flex. DePalo is originally from Watertown, Connecticut and his filmmaking career started at eight years old when he recorded himself reenacting films with his parents VHS camcorder.

DePalo has recently finished creating his latest project, which sets audiences in a drastic world of distinct emotional discovery and interactivity. The project is entitled The Initiative and began as a script that was written over three years. The idea of inspiring others through its story transcended past film and made its way to the interactive medium. "With The Initiative, we didn’t want to just create a game, we wanted to create an inspiring story that played out as a game. We believe this bite-sized app we’re offering will not only satisfy gaming needs, but at the same time empower individuals in the real world to choose the truth in their own hearts, rather than the reality of their circumstances."

In 2013 he appeared in his recurring role on Starz new series titled Magic City. DePalo was also seen most recently playing Sergio Morricone in Tempted, the emotional drama about the depths of a homeless man's soul which are tempted with a life altering choice - will he believe in his dreams or believe in the reality of his circumstances? DePalo also starred, wrote, and directed the award-winning film Rise that earned him awards for Audience Choice and Best Screenplay at PBIFF.

In the years since he became a storyteller DePalo has worked with a remarkable list of acclaimed professionals and companies, including NBC Universal, Sony, Starz, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Six Time Mr. Olympia Dorian Yates, Four Time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler, Mr. U.S.A Mark Dugdale and many others.

While continuing to explore new artistic challenges, DePalo has always made sure his work is centered on inspiring products and the ability to express emotionally driven stories.
