Nick Fielding

I am a writer and journalist with a particular interest in Central Asia and Siberia. One of my interests is the story of Thomas Witlam Atkinson and his wife Lucy who, in the 1840s and 1850s, spent almost seven years exploring southern Siberia, present-day Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Djungaria. Now almost forgotten, I want to bring them back to public attention and to ensure that their remarkable achievements are acknowledged.
