Nick J. Alves
Ad Operations Manager in Atlanta, Georgia
My name is Nick Alves and I'm a graduate of the University of Georgia, Class of 2017 (go dawgs!). I graduated Cum Laude with a BBA degree in Marketing from the Terry College of Business, with an area of emphasis in Digital Marketing.
I proudly work for The Home Depot, where I am a Manager on the Orange Apron Media Activation & Operations team, focusing on Brand Pages and In-Store Network. In my role, I lead a team of five associates and drive operational strategy for Brand Page and In-Store Network product offerings.
Previously, I worked as a Senior Analyst on my same team (OAM A&O) focusing specifically on Brand Pages. Before my time on OAM, I was a Senior Analyst on the Brand Advocate team at THD. I transitioned over to the company starting back in 2020 as an Analyst and was promoted from Analyst to Senior Analyst on BA in March of 2022. On the Brand Advocate team, I harnessed the power of data analytics and digital content to boost sales for my vendors and brands. Before I started wearing my orange apron, I worked at the Metro Atlanta Chamber and ChooseATL, serving as Channels & Analytics Coordinator. As C&A Coordinator, I managed marketing research and analytics, ChooseATL’s social media content calendar, and paid advertising.
I'm an avid reader, soccer lover, MARTA rider, and music addict. I love physical activity and hiking; you'll more than likely be able to find me lifting at the gym or walking at the park with my dog. I'm also really into photography, video games, social media, and movies.
I come from a Portuguese and Italian background, with a super supportive family on all sides. My Roman Catholic faith is very important to me, and it guides everything I do. Kennesaw, Georgia is where I grew up, and I now live in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood in Atlanta.
Side hustles include: obsessive recycling, discussions about the universe, binge-listening to podcasts, playing Pokémon Go, and eating dark chocolate covered almonds.
