The current Vice President of Business Services with Your Community Bank in Louisville, Kentucky, Nick Phelps specializes in providing commercial loans and other lines of credit to small businesses throughout Louisville, Bardstown, and Southern Indiana. He previously held sales and business management positions with Arison Insurance Services, the Forecastile Festival, and Prosoft, a local software application development firm. Nick Phelps earned his BS in economics and finance from the University of Kentucky in Lexington and is presently on track to obtain his MBA from the University of Louisville in May of 2014.
When he isn’t busy with academic or professional responsibilities, Nick Phelps is involved with a wide range of nonprofits and charitable organizations. As a volunteer for Louisville’s Fund for the Arts, Mr. Phelps was instrumental in establishing Farnsley by 40, an initiative that encourages funders to reach a donation level of $1,949 by the time they turn 40 years of age. The $1,949 figure was chosen in honor of Charles Farnsley, the Louisville Mayor who created the first American united arts fund in 1949.
