Nicole Stevenson Abingdon

In May of 2015, Nicole Stevenson of Abingdon, Maryland, graduated from the Honors College at the University of Maryland in College Park with a dual bachelor’s degree in English and history. A member of the Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society, Nicole Stevenson received departmental honors for her thesis on the portrayal of women in The Odd Women, written by Victorian author George Gissing.

Concurrent with her studies, Ms. Stevenson served as an office assistant in the Linguistics Department at the University of Maryland. In this capacity, her responsibilities included fielding student queries at the front desk, collaborating with office management, and overseeing correspondence and mailing activities.

In her leisure time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors around Abingdon, where she frequently hikes and fishes. In addition, she likes to take road trips along the East Coast to such locations as the Adirondack Mountains, Boston, Massachusetts, and Charleston, South Carolina. An avid baseball fan, she follows the home team Baltimore Orioles.
