Niki Mahon
Founder, Designer, and Entrepreneur
Niki Mahon started a multi-million-pound business from her bedroom at the age of 23. NIKITA, a sustainable jewellery and homeware brand, initially started out as a side-hustle and has now turned over more than £3 million.
As part of a recent major rebrand, Niki spoke on the podcast ‘A Millennial Mind’ about the changes and why evolution in business (and life in general) is so important. As part of this rebrand, Niki took the opportunity to cease being an influencer on Instagram in support of better mental health and to focus more fully on engaging an audience whose views best align with the business’s rebranded message.
Thanks to the success of her business, Niki was able to buy her dream five-bedroom 1920s art deco home with her husband while still in her 20s. With her passion for interior design, Niki – alongside her husband – has been enjoying renovating the property to a high specification while respecting the period features of the home. The couple is sharing the unfiltered process, along with general tips on home renovations, on Niki’s Instagram page.
In February 2024, NIKITA had a pop-up store in John Lewis in Bluewater via The Great Brand Exchange. The store saw queues for its products all week and regularly sold out of its luxury lucky dip that included home décor and jewellery items for £4. The business was advised that its pop-up sales were the highest of all pop-up stores across all John Lewis branches in the UK.
When she’s not working, Niki enjoys fitness, cooking and hosting.
