Noel is the embodiment of passion and talent required by all great artists.Born in a family of artists ballet was his first passion but drawing earned him a place in Havana's San Alejandro Academy. While dancing he designed sets and costumes for the companies he worked with. At age 30 Noel retired from Ballet giving painting his entire attention. He’s been commissioned by private and corporate collectors. Argentinian author Alicia Borinsky selected two of Noel’s paintings for her book jackets, and was also commissioned to create a portrait for Eartha Kitt, who became a friend and mentor. University of Miami commissioned Noel to create sets and costumes for the World Premier for Cuba's Prima Ballerina, Rosario Suarez’s ballet "Cecilia Valdez”. CNN Español also commissioned him to create the painting for Miami’s Premiere Gala. Nationwide AIDS asked Noel to create paintings for their fund raising events. Noel was asked to create the panel representing Miami on the National AIDS Quilt and the Commemorative painting for First Night Miami Beach 2000 Millennium Celebration. The City of Miami Beach selected Noel to design five Flamingos for their Art in Public Places. He collaborated with fellow artist Romero Britto and with Uberto Gucci-Gucci family. Noel got to exhibit his paintings next to the Masterpieces of his Muse, Tamara de Lempicka at the Red Dot Art Fair during Miami’s Art Week. He participated in the prestigious International Art Exhibit at the Carrousel of the Louvre Museum and his portrait of Fashion Icon Patricia Field is part of the permanent collection at the Nakamura Keith Haring Museum in Japan. He’s been featured and published in several Art Publications. The Miami Beach Arts Trust gave Noel the “Theatre Visionary Award” and the City of Miami Beach named November 17 as “Noel Suarez Day”. He also served on the City of Miami Beach Fine Arts Board for five years. Noel has been part of Oceania’s Artist In Residence Program for 10 years now, expanding his international acclaim. He is recognized as one of the small number of artists whom Miami’s ascendency to the World’s cultural stage reflects in his career. His work is always evolving capturing the attention of the youthful art enthusiasts and educated collectors.
