Noel is recognized as one of a small number of artists whom Miami's ascendency to the world cultural stage is reflected in the lifetime of his career. His style creates an artistic uniqueness that is characteristic of all great artists. Cuban-born Noel started his ballet training at the Escuela Provincial de Ballet de la Habana and study drawing at Havana's Academy of San Alejandro. As a dancer he worked with the renowned Alberto Alonso's in Cuba with Havana’s Opera Ballet. Hearrived in the U.S. in 1981 after an engagement with Costa Rica’s Compañia Nacional de Danza. In the US he danced with Ballet Concerto, Dance Miami, Boston Ballet II and New England Dinosaur Dance Company.In 1986 he started his career as an Artist creating several private and public commissions. Noel served on the City of Miami Beach Fine Arts Board for five years. In his theatrical works include DIFFA's 1993 production of "Acts of Hope” as Artistic Director while also creating the event’s commemorative poster. DIFFA invited Noel again to stage DIFFA's Production Collection Rouge for its Miami premier. University of Miami commissioned Noel to create sets, costumes and lighting design for the World Premier of the National Ballet of Cuba Prima Ballerina Rosario Suarez, for her ballet "Cecilia Valdez." Absolut Vodka commissioned Noel to create several paintings for DIFFA Events. In his personal fight against AIDS he created and donated paintings for Boston's AIDS Action Committee and South Florida's Care Resource. The City of Miami Beach Art in Public Places commissioned Noel to paint five of their Flamingos. He collaborated with Romero Britto and with Mr. Uberto Gucci/Gucci family. Noel has received national recognition with profiles and features in numerous magazines, newspapers, television and films. CNN Español commissioned Noel to create the painting for their official invite for their Miami’s Premiere Gala. Oceania Cruises invited Noel to join their Artist in Residence Program on 2013 where he remains today while exhibiting and participating in events and Art Fairs in the US & the World. As a constant personal quest, Noel’s work is always evolving, from techniques and mediums to subject matter, capturing the attention of youthful art enthusiasts and educated collectors.
