Norman Halim is an award winning filmmaker, studied architecture at the higher Institute of Engineering - 15th may city.

He worked with several civil society organizations interested in human rights, community participation, mediation and Media. Along side with local and international organizations.

He learned directing short films by participating in many workshops and training programs with some Egyptian and foreign filmmakers.

Norman hopes to use films to highlight issues of human rights in Egypt, and he believes media is the best tool to achieve results.

He is a multimedia journalist, covers topics such as political protests, human rights issues, events related to political movements in Egypt, and the various problems facing the egyptian society.

Norman’s work has been featured in many Newspapers and TV channels such as " la repubblica" Italy, Almasry Alyoum, CNN international, Al-Hurra, ONTV, Al Nahar and Al Tahrir.

He participated in many competitions and the most recently competition sponsored by Microsoft and Egypt Journalism Project (EJP), organized by the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, and he was one of the winners in the contest.
