Hey there! My name is Derek and I have the honor of serving as your 2021 National Chief of the Order of the Arrow.
I am an Eagle Scout from Scotch Plains, New Jersey. I was recognized with membership in the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's National Honor Society, in September 2016. I am a member of Woapalanne Lodge, chartered to the Patriots' Path Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
I was recognized with the Vigil Honor and Founder’s Award for my service to Scouting and the Order of the Arrow. Prior to getting elected national chief, I was serving as the Section NE-5 Chief, and have also serves as lodge chief for Woapalanne Lodge.
During my term as national chief, I will help lead the program of emphasis, which will consist of both a virtual event, and an in-person event this summer. In addition to serving as a youth member on the National OA Committee, I will also travel across the nation as a representative of Scouting.
