Greetings! I sometimes go by "October Quills." I am a public health professional, creative writer, nature lover, and advocate for those who are marginalized and victimized in society. I live near the beautiful Rocky Mountains with my husband, daughter, and our four-legged friends. I have a Master’s degree in public health (MPH), with an emphasis on health behavior, and health education and promotion. I am also a nationally certified, Community Health Education Specialist (CHES-NCHEC), since 2013. My education and work background also consist of psychology and health science. In my free time, when I'm not working on my next writing project, I'm probably hiking, white water rafting, or skiing (or at least thinking about it).
