After moving to Canada in 1996, I was introduced to Hip-Hop and Battle Rap. The urban culture really related to me because I felt that it best defined my personality. Music started speaking to me in a huge way. I feel like I can vent and iterate all my feelings through song that are not easily expressed in words alone. I need to express myself through tone, rhythm, and flow. Although I always loved to sing, I never really concentrated on it until my mid teens when I was introduced to Jazz, R&B and Soul music. Since those years, I have refined and worked on my music integrating numerous genres (Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, Jazz, South Asian). Every song is based on an experience. I want my fans to feel the same emotions that I feel.
