Olivia Thomas is an aspiring leader in global health.
She is a recent graduate from St. John Fisher College. She graduated in May 2015 with a degree in International Studies with minors in Psychology and Ethics. At St. John Fisher , she established many connections on campus becoming involved with several organizations. Including but not limited to, The Student Government Association and The Black Student Union where she held executive board positions. As well as involvement in organizations , such as the National Residence Hall Honorary, the Diversity Coalition and several on campus committees and tasks forces. Although she loved each organization , she gained immeasurable joy and experience from her time spent as the Executive Vice President of Student Services for the Student Government and time spent as a Resident Assistant.
Olivia received several awards and recognition for her dedication to the St. John Fisher Community such as the John A. Murray Award for leadership , given to her by the Vice President of the institution for her outstanding show of leadership and academic proficiency.
Olivia has a passion for learning about different cultures. She enjoys learning about health care , differing health systems, the intricacies,and delicate details involved in , organizing , developing, and creating sustainable communities. After serving a year with AmeriCorps , Olivia also developed a passion for early literacy intervention and the importance of quality mentor-ship.
Currently Olivia is looking for work in New York City , and once established will be pursing masters degree's in Public Health and Health Management.
She hopes to one day travel and work , in the global public health sector. Fulfilling her dreams of leaving a true impact every where she goes.
