Olumide is a Pioneer Marketing Manager at Unilever Ethiopia; a senior management role where he is responsible for developing and executing brand marketing plans as well as developing commercial and brand base building activities on a rolling three to five year innovation pipeline that would help Unilever stamp the footprint of its FCMG business and capitalize on growth opportunities within this market. Prior to this role, he managed the Skin Cleansing brands (Lux and Lifebuoy soap) for Unilever Nigeria.
While at Unilever Market development South Africa, he was responsible for the design of upstream marketing initiatives for Deodorants and Savoury portfolios, as well the launch of the brands into white space across Africa. In eight (8) months, he successfully led the launch of Knorr seasoning cubes into the Ethiopian Market. Olumide was appointed into his current role effective first January 1, 2014 after Unilever decided to return to Ethiopia after a long hiatus, having agreed that it could grow its business presence in Africa by capturing a large share of this budding market.
Olumide is skilled and experienced in sales and account management, brand management, customer marketing and entrepreneurship across the banking, internet 2.0 and fast consumer moving goods industries. Olumide holds a B.Tech in Food Storage Technology from Federal University of Technology Akure and he is currently enrolled for a graduate certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Stanford University, USA.
