Omar Samuels is an avid technology enthusiast. He has been immersed in the world of Information Technology for 15+ years and has amassed a wealth of knowledge and expertise that has shaped his career as an I.T. consultant.

Omar has worked with some of the biggest players in the industry and has maintained a record of stellar performance in technical leadership and venture success. Some of his major accomplishments include the technical leadership in the establishment of one of Jamaica's first wireless ISPs and also Jamaica's first cable modem ISP. As a specialist, he has worked with partners in Taiwan and Italy on hardware and software innovation projects. Regionally, he has consulted on a number of projects, ranging from telecommunications to online media.

Through his roles at WEBfx and HV Media Ltd., Omar has worked with essentially all the major media houses throughout the Caribbean, developing enterprise distribution networks for online media content and providing guidance to their various Internet operations. As technical lead, he has been a part of pioneering subscription-based streaming projects, such as the online streaming of live events, including Reggae Sumfest, Sting and the World Netball Championships and also on-demand set-top box streaming projects in tandem with the award-winning Sandals Resorts chain of hotels.

Omar has worked as a specialist at JumpTV Inc. (based in Canada, which then later merged with Neulion) following their successful acquisition of HV Media and the Homeview group of sites and consulted for local corporations of the likes of British Caribbean Insurance Co. Ltd., DYOLL Insurance Co. and others.

Omar is an accomplished developer and entrepreneur and is currently actively working hard on some next gen platforms and mobile apps that promise great global benefit.
