Imaginitive and unique drawing, painting and ceramics handmade in Scotland.

Important in my approach to new work, is to enjoy the creative process combining together spontaneity, intuition and inspiration, with materials to express and explore a subject or idea.

Inspirations include: nature and the changing seasons, ideas behind cultural festivals and celebrations, ways of marking a specific time or occasion often in tune with the environment past or present. Travel has influenced me alot with bringing forth an interest in colour, light, texture, form, words and interesting ways at looking at life. I like to focus on creating a sense of positivity and to express the feel good stuff in life into my work. I'm interested in exploring ways of creating a warm ambiance and atmosphere. Explore, adventure, travel, feel good, senses. These ideas are in essence the motivation behind my work.

Ceramic pieces available include: positive word tile magnets and larger framed wall pieces with words and quotes. A personalisation service for names, dates or lettering of choice is available. Plates featuring painterly designs combined at times, with drawing and words for a layered effect. The plates are designed to be personal, original and optimistic, combining painting with function where it's up to the individual how a piece is used whether for domestic use or wall piece or both.
