Orca Inspection Services inspects both the interior and exterior of a home, checking gutters, chimneys, siding, windows, roofing, and porches, among other aspects. The company also conducts structural pest inspections. Utilizing an array of state-of-the-art equipment, the company is able to perform inspections and compile reports within a 24-hour period. Customers receive their reports by e-mail. Owner Dylan Chalk created InspectMate, a report writing system that separates a home into logical components. The method enables the home inspection process to be detailed and thorough. Dylan Chalk has been trained in many areas in his profession. He has earned certification from Inspection Training Associates and is a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors. Additionally, Mr. Chalk is licensed as a Structural Pest Inspector in the state of Washington and is also a licensed Home Inspector. Orca Inspection Services is committed to being a carbon neutral company. In this effort, the company has transitioned from a V-8 Truck to an energy efficient sedan that is powered by biofuel. The company has also reduced its paper consumption through the use of an all-digital, e-mail reporting system. The business now uses only 5 percent of the paper they used to consume. Since being established, the company has inspected over 3000 homes.
