An impatient crowd waits moving uncontrollably hoping to see their favorite band take the stage and sing countless melodies they have grown to love. But as the lights go dim, the sound of a gong sets the mood; one man initially takes the stage followed by two others. These aren't the guys the people came to see. They are quickly approached by a simple man with a microphone, whose abrasive demeanor shows he wants answers and he wants them now. This is what occurred next:
Mean Man: “Who the heck are you guys and what did you do with [insert random absurdly rich musician(s) name here]”?
Organik Musik Group (OMG): The group consists of Lenesto Page AKA Lenny Classix (lyricist), Terence Williams (lyricist), and Eric Grant Jr AKA Genius Beats (producer). We choose not to talk about [insert the random name here again] how bout you get to know us!
Still Mean Man: “Well what should we expect to hear from you all!”
OMG: We play Hip Hop, Pop, R&B, Rock and Roll, Neo-Soul, etc. We choose not to be in a box because honestly music is freedom, and freedom should never be caged in.
Slightly Mean Man: “Well is your music even available for purchase, stream, download, etc.”
OMG: You can find our music in all of the online digital stores to include but not limited to: Amazon, ITunes, Spotify, Google Play Store, Beats, Rdio, Deezer, and www.organikmusik.com.
Not-So Mean Man: “It sounds like you guys are not some fly by night group and have actually done the prerequisites to have a music career. Where are you from and how old are you?”
OMG: We hail from North Carolina, more specifically Fayetteville and Charlotte. Lenny and T are 30, Genius is 26.
Calm Man: “What are you guys about, what do you stand for?”
OMG: We choose not to sound like everyone else because we take pride in originality hence Organik Musik. You won’t hear any false statements, violent lyrics, or sexual connotations in our music. We are all full time husbands, fathers, and have full time jobs. Lenesto's a software engineer, Terence is a RN, Genius is former military.
