Many Christian sects are now opting into becoming an online ministry only due to financial hardships. Is online churches a new trend that will soon go away or will it be the way the churches will be preaching in the future? According to several Churches across the USA attendance and tithing to religious organization has been declining steadily since the 1990's. Some say there is a correlation between this trend and the economy of this nation going down along with the downward church attendance and tithes. Many religious leaders are claiming that since "we the people" are forgetting about God by taking Him out of this nation by; taking prayers out schools, the ten commandments out of courts, poor attendance to churches and no tithes to keep His word going, God is trying to get our attention by hitting us were we can feel it the most the economy of our nation. Many non-Christians say that it is the other way around, that tithes and attendance to churches have drop due to the economy but others say that faithful Christians despite of the bad economy are still making it due to their faithfulness. Pastor Joseph Carpenter from Our Lord Jesus Ministry agreed that Christianity has been taking a back seat now compare to the early days of this nation. www.ourlordjesusministry.org He added. "It is sad to see your congregation dwindling in numbers due to the inconvenience of driving to church and be replace by television ministries who like the Walmarts of Christianity are taking out the smaller local ministries. It seems people forget that going to church it is in the Bible and its something God wants us to do edify and build each other's testimonies. By doing this we show God we are willing to sacrifice and inconvenience ourselves for Him by getting out of bed and drive to church every Sunday." What's going on with America? Are we no longer a Christian nation?
