I began working as SEIU’s recruitment director following a long career in the labor movement starting with a summer union research job. After first hand witness to the worker abuses happening in nearby Brooklyn’s sweatshops, I left academic life behind for the factory gates. I'm passionate about workers in motion for justice and voice on the job. Now my greatest enthusiasm is to ignite that passion in others to join SEIU on the cutting edge of progressive activism, building power for low-wage workers and engaging in the important social and economic issues facing working families.
