I attended Seton Hill University where I obtained a B.A. in Graphic Arts and a Minor in Fine Arts. I decided to go back to S.H.U. to acquire a teaching certification in art. While pursuing my certification in art I taught an Illustration and an Advertising course at Westmoreland Community College where I was employed as an Adjunct Instructor. I worked as a Site Director for the School Age Child Care Program at the YMCA of Greensburg. Also during my 3 years with the Y, I held the position as the Art Coordinator for the YMCA Summer Program. The Summer Art classes were a newly designed component of the YMCA Summer Camp program. I developed and created the Art program. I am an active board member with the Pennsylvania 4-H program/ Penn State Extention and a 4-H leader in Westmoreland County. I have worked as an Art teacher for the Young Rembrandts/North Huntingdon branch office, The Children’s Gallery. In addition to the scheduled classes that I taught as an instructor for Young Rembrandt’s, I taught and developed a very desirable and unique fashion design class for school age children. My technical degree in Fashion Illustration which was obtained from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh proved to be beneficial in creating and teaching the Fashion Classes. These classes were taught out of the Children’s Gallery in North Huntingdon which ran for four consecutive class/sessions (10 weeks) before the Children’s Gallery closed.
