A doctoral graduate of New York University, Dr. Pari Sara Shirazi’s background includes accomplishments as a professor, administrator, and artist. A well-known figure in the arts field, she has served as a producer for theater productions such as the Nadia Davids-directed At Her Feet and acted as a judge at the USC Farhang Foundation’s Short Film Festival. The translator of Iranian filmmaker's Bahram Baizai’s screenplays, Dr. Pari Sara Shirazi has also made frequent appearances as a lecturer and panelist on subjects such as cross-cultural art initiatives and international cinema.

Professionally, Dr. Shirazi spent two decades as an administrator and program coordinator for New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. During her time as vice dean with the school, she spearheaded numerous innovative programs which earned praise, including the Animation and Digital Arts (ANDA) program, the International Producing Program, and the Dramatic Writing Program. She also established the Collaborative Arts Program, an interdisciplinary initiative exploring the intersection of media, performance, and technology in a global setting.

Dr. Shirazi recently retired from her post with New York University to concentrate on her artistic pursuits. She is currently completing a novel which traces the lives of an Iranian family from 1910 to 1979.
