Pat Melton

An award-winning champion for youth, trailblazing educatior and innovator, Patricia has assembled a versatile portfolio across an array of education, non-profit, and postsecondary ventures that have impacted more than 50,000 students. By identifying and assembling high-performing teams, Pat has expanded equitable education opportunities for youth across the country. She has excelled at designing break-the-mold schools with communities and other programming that has high impact in under-resourced neighborhoods. Patricia is currently the executive director of New Haven Promise, the Yale sponsored scholarhsip program for New Haven public school students. Formerly, Patricia served as Chief Academic Officer for Indiana's third-largest district, Assistant Dean of Instruction for Vincennes University's "A" rated flagship Early College — Ben Davis University High School and Director of X-Mester, a transformational college summer residential experience.
