Patrick Budden

Patrick Budden has lived and worked in Asia for over 35 years. He spent over 24 years in the buying agency/Buying office business as a procurement specialist and has extensive general management experience.

He initially worked in a buying agency, Dodwell /Inchcape Buying Offices, for 10 years, and then became General Manager of the retail owned Asian Buying Offices of Interco-op for 7 years. In 1986 Patrick joined the American publishing Company – Grolier Incorporated and ran their Taiwan Direct Sales operation, as General Manager for 3 years. He then returned to the U.K. for 4 years to manage a sportswear/footwear distribution business selling into the discount retail trades.

In 1994 he returned to Asia and initiated his career as a Search consultant. In 1995 he became General Manager of the Asian Buying Office of Rewe Zentral A.G.- the German based European retailing Group for 7 years, before returning to Executive Search in 2003.

Patrick has lived in Hong Kong, Taiwan and briefly in Korea and Singapore. He has had a total of over 9 years experience in Executive Search and specialises in Procurement, Industrial /Manufacturing, Supply Chain Shipping and FMCG. He is also heading up the Environmental CSR and Infrastructure practice of the company.
