Patrick Dwyer has worked for more than two decades cultivating an accomplished career as a financial advisor. He earned a dual bachelor of arts in business and history from Providence College in Rhode Island before he completed his master of business administration at the University of Miami. In 1993, Patrick Dwyer joined Merrill Lynch and spent the next year undergoing training in the firm’s MBA Analyst Program. Subsequently, he relocated to the Miami area to serve local clients as a financial advisor.
In the late 1990s, Merrill Lynch recognized the need for a new company division that catered to clients of ultra-high net worth. This department soon took form as the Private Banking and Investment Group, which Mr. Dwyer joined as one of the first advisors. Today, he continues to serve ultra-high net worth clients of Merrill Lynch as managing director of Dwyer & Associates. He and his team of skilled financial and investment advisors work hand-in-hand with a network of affluent families, business executives, and entrepreneurs to manage $2.6 billion in assets.
Throughout his tenure with Merrill Lynch, Patrick Dwyer has garnered acclaim for his dedication to his clients. Within the past six years alone, Barron’s has recognized him as the number one financial advisor in Florida three separate times. Most recently, Mr. Dwyer earned a spot on Barron’s list of America’s Top 100 Financial Advisors, an honor he has received nine consecutive years in a row. He has also achieved top rankings on financial advisor lists from the Financial Times and Registered Rep. magazine.
In addition to his work with Dwyer & Associates, Mr. Dwyer sits on the boards of trustees for the Neuroscience Centers of Florida Foundation, Telluride Science Research Center, Key Biscayne Community Foundation, and the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart. He also helps oversee the philanthropic work of the Dwyer Family Foundation.
