Paul Alexander Thornton

UK & Tunisia

Specialising in detailed drawings made with ballpoint pens, Paul Alexander Thornton's works explore themes of life and death, the macabre and the sublime. Technically, Thornton's work often combines both precise, and highly skilled pen work juxtaposed against drips, splashes and stains of paint, tea, coffee, ink or whatever material he may have got his hands on for the piece of work in question. Creating in the process dynamic work that continues to captivate the viewer even after returning to the work several times.

Many of Thornton's guitar pieces are featured on his channel.
