Based in Brooklyn, Paul Camara is a National Guard veteran who received a variety of accolades during the eight years he spent in service. Paul Camara joined the MA Army National Guard in 1993 and was discharged in 2001, by which time he had become a section chief.

While serving, Mr. Camara received the Army Achievement Medal, the Multinational Division Certificate of Appreciation, the Scroll of Appreciation, the Army Commendation Medal, and the NATO Medal for Service, all of which he was given in 1997. Alongside this, he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal again in 1999, and was given an Army Achievement Medal that same year.

Since departing from the National Guard, Mr. Camara has worked with a variety of firms, relatively few of which being based near his home in Brooklyn. For several years, he worked as an estimator for Atlantic Contracting, where he was responsible for acquiring new contracts for the firm.

Mr. Camara currently serves as the president of Axion Specialty Contracting, a position he entered in 2012.
