Shooting sports is a liftetime passion that I've also enjoyed introducing others to. My father, who qualified as Expert with both rifle and pistol, was my first instructor and began my training at age four.

I've been shooting for half a century since, including competitively in both the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA), the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) as well as state and nationally sponsored events.

A believer in continuing ones education, I've participated in tactical training at the Tactical Defense Institute (TDI). Tactical training is learning to finely sharpen your firearm skills to enable one to survive a deadly encounter. While training I had the opportunity to compete with SWAT team members in both speed & accuracy drills. I'm proud to say that one day I outshot all the instructors.

In addition to my professional Financial Services career, I became a Certified Firearms Instructor 12 years ago and have been teaching students ever since. I am certified by the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice as a CCWD Instructor for the Commonwealth of Kentucky to teach the CCWD course.
