Perry Westbrook

After many years of private practice, periodontist Perry Westbrook, DMD, MSD, has worked with a number of colleagues and an extensive clientele. Through his dedication to his profession, his family, and numerous social and environmental causes, Dr. Westbrook has contributed to his community of Sunnyvale, California, and beyond. Dr. Westbrook earned his Bachelor's degree in Psychobiology from UCLA and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Washington University in St. Louis shortly thereafter. While a dental student, he earned a National Dental Fraternity Editor of the Year Award. He then completed a year of residency at the University of Rochester's Genesee Hospital in New York. Dr. Westbrook followed this with a move to Case Western Reserve University, where he earned his postdoctoral Master's degree and certificate in periodontics. Perry Westbrook, DMD, enjoys spending time outdoors biking, kayaking, scuba diving, and taking pictures. He also attends collegiate and professional sporting events in his spare time. He supports the environment by donating to the World Wildlife Fund and the Defenders of Wildlife. He also contributes to the American Cancer Society, Inc., and has performed charity work for the Lucille Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford, the Sierra Club, and the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA. Today, Dr. Perry Westbrook runs his own practice as a periodontist. He previously taught as an Assistant Professor at the University of the Pacific's Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. His articles have appeared in several publications, including the Journal of Periodontology and the Journal of Dental Research. A participant in his professional community, Dr. Westbrook holds memberships in the American Dental Association, the California Society of Periodontists, the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society, the Santa Clara County Dental Society, and the American Academy of Periodontology.
