Peter Bria
Systems Engineer in Barrington, RI
A graduate of Salve Regina University and current systems engineer for Sea Corp, Peter Bria holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and has completed some courses at the University of Massachusetts toward a master’s degree in computer science. Shortly before graduating, he began gaining practical experience at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) as a software engineer URI intern. Peter Bria remained at the NUWC for over 10 years. After leaving the NUWC, he spent nearly a decade at Innovative Defense Technology (IDT) as a systems engineer, and served as the vice president of new technologies at In-Depth Engineering (IDE).
Outside of work, Mr. Bria maintains a firm interest in sports. While a student at Salve Regina University, he played on the school’s hockey team, receiving Sportsman of the Year recognition in 1996. His involvement with hockey at Salve also introduced him to Chris Carney, who inspired Mr. Bria to give back to his alma mater through fundraising efforts. He is also an avid collector of both trading cards and sports memorabilia. He is involved in several online trading activities, has attended the Baseball Card National Sports Collectors Convention, and contributes to the Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) Collectors Universe. He is also a hockey coach.
