Peter Russo

I’m Peter Russo, a Colorado-based outdoor industry consultant and the founder of Alpine Ridge Strategy Group. I live just outside Boulder, where I work with emerging outdoor brands and adventure tourism companies to help them grow in thoughtful, sustainable ways.

My path into consulting started in the outdoor apparel and equipment industry, where I spent about eight years working in operations and business development roles. During that time, I gained firsthand experience with the challenges companies face as they scale. From supply chain coordination to operational planning, I saw how important strong systems and clear strategy are for long-term success.

I started Alpine Ridge Strategy Group to help mission-driven companies navigate those challenges. My work focuses on operational strategy, brand positioning, and sustainable growth planning. I’m especially interested in helping businesses integrate environmentally responsible practices while maintaining strong and stable operations.

Living in Colorado keeps me closely connected to the landscapes that inspire this work. Outside the office, I spend a lot of time trail running, backcountry skiing, rock climbing, hiking, and fly fishing. I also volunteer as a youth ski coach and serve on the advisory board of a local conservation nonprofit.

For me, the goal is simple: support businesses that respect the outdoors and build something meaningful for the long term.
