Philippe Jabre was born in 1960 in the town of Beit Chebab in Beirut, Lebanon. This accomplished business leader and philanthropist is probably best known today as the founder, CIO and CEO of Jabre Capital Partners, a multi-family office and wealth management firm based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Having studied at Notre Dame de Jamhour followed by the American University of Beirut, Philippe Jabre left Lebanon following the outbreak of the Lebanese Civil War, relocating to Canada. Here, he studied at Concordia University in Montreal, graduating with a degree in economics, before studying at the Columbia Business School in New York, graduating with an MBA with honours.
Philippe Jabre spent a stint in London working at GLG Partners, a division of Lehman Brothers International (Europe). Here, he played a pivotal role as a portfolio manager and partner from 1996 to 2006 prior to launching his own business, Jabre Capital Partners.
Thanks to Philippe Jabre’s in-depth understanding of international investment and asset management, Jabre Capital Partners has gone from strength to strength, serving a prestigious global clientele and managing multi-billion dollar investment portfolios for both institutional and private clients.
Outside of work, Philippe Jabre is an impassioned philanthropist with a particular interest in increasing access to higher education opportunities. He founded the Association Philippe Jabre in 2001, launching the non-profit with the mission of addressing the needs of underprivileged individuals in Lebanon.
