A New York-based attorney with more than 30 years of experience, Phillip Steck is a partner with Cooper Erving & Savage LLP, which he joined in 1991. Since then, Phillip Steck has represented clients in major case appeals and trials regarding employment, civil rights, and commercial disputes at both the federal and state levels. He previously served as an assistant to the Rensselaer County and New York County district attorneys, where he primarily handled felony narcotics cases.

In addition to his work in the legal sector, Phillip Steck is a member of the New York State Assembly, 110th District. Elected in 2013. He has since passed legislation on gun control, universal health care, voting access, and equal pay. He's also a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and, in the past, has held executive positions with community organizations such as the Harvard Club of Eastern New York, The Shaker Heritage Society, and the Center for Family and Youth.

Mr. Steck earned his juris doctor from the University of Pennsylvania and obtained his bachelor's in government from Harvard College, where he was a magna cum laude graduate and elected member of the Harvard International Relations Council's board of directors.
