Matthew J. Porter

MATTHEW J PORTER has been publicizing theatre for nearly 10 years and is currently Broadway Across America’s Public Relations Director for the Midwest region. Having served as the publicist for Louisville, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Kansas City and Columbus, OH, Porter has extensive experience branching into new and existing Broadway Across America markets to build relationships with local media. In addition to developing publicity strategy and social media outreach, he is also a lead collaborator with local education programs. Working closely with the Louisville Theatrical Association and the community at large, he has spearheaded countless interactive workshops, lectures and enrichment opportunities for students and adults alike and is co-founder of Broadway in Louisville’s first ever Teen Enrichment Program. His experience also includes a season at the nationally renowned Actors Theatre of Louisville as Public Relations Manager, where he had an opportunity to work in the non-profit sector and be a part of building theatre productions from the ground up. A graduate of the University of Louisville, he is a loyal Cardinal fan and very proud to call Louisville his home.
