I was tempted to say "I am a ______" but I realize the limitations of labeling oneself. So I will simply say "I am." It smacks of a god complex to some, but I am a believer in our hidden potential and that we must build castles in the air. I love my kids. I deify music. I have to strum my stream of consciousness. I must pen a humorous headline or Facebook update once a week. I ache for a deeper conversation. But most of all, I enjoy the feeling of "I am." It helps me to realize that the moment to wonder is the present moment or situation I'm in. I'm not saying I'm any good at it, but when my consciousness shifts over to that overwhelming realization, it's intoxicating. So whatever situation comes my way, I know that if I can maintain a level of mindfulness, then I am free. I am grateful. I am.
