Prakash Ruparelia

My name is Prakash Ruparelia. I am a solicitor practising through Scott-Moncrieff & Associates Ltd, with over 25 years’ experience advising and representing clients across a range of civil and welfare matters.

I specialise in civil litigation, including debt and insolvency, landlord and tenant disputes, and, in particular, welfare benefits appeals.

In addition, I advise and represent clients in Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) investigations, including benefit overpayments and Interviews Under Caution.

My practice is focused on resolving complex disputes where decisions have been made incorrectly or without proper application of the law.

This includes cases involving Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Universal Credit, ESA, benefit overpayments, and Department for Work and Pensions investigations.

In practice, much of my work involves preparing tribunal-level cases, identifying errors in decision-making, and presenting clear, structured arguments that reflect the legal tests applied by the courts and tribunals.

I see clients in London, Leicester, and Nottingham. However, I also act for clients across England and Wales on a remote basis.
