Dr. Charyl Pitts-Howard has a passion for education, a flair for the arts and a belief that all children have the potential for greatness. She has drawn on her experiences as a mother, teacher and occupational therapist, to create WUNDERkIND Sensory, a revolutionary digital based sensory play platform, which provides new parents with the necessary tools to naturally enhance their infant’s development. WUNDERkIND is a labor of love for Charyl, a hit with new parents and the winner of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute ‘New Product Idea Award’.

Throughout her career, Charyl has combined her talents to benefit children. She has worked as a schoolteacher, in what was one of New York City’s toughest schools, where she inspired students to rise above their circumstances and succeed. She has developed a curriculum for London’s Recovery College, providing parents with the skills necessary to help their loved ones recover after experiencing a mental health break. She has produced a body of cultural works, that was exhibited at New York City’s Schaumburg and Lincoln Center Libraries, which taught parents and kids how to connect through the traditions of story telling, song and dance.

Charyl holds her Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from The University of St. Augustine, a Master's of Science from London South Bank University and a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Howard University. She gives back by volunteering her skill-sets to a number of organizations.

However, Charyl finds most rewarding the time spent watching her little one develop and simply being a mom.
