Prior to establishing his current practice, R. Brent Wisner served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Helen Gillmor in the United States District Court in Honolulu, Hawaii. His responsibilities in that position focused on preparing judicial orders, bench memorandums, and jury instructions for a number of jury and bench trials. Mr. Wisner’s most recent legal experience previous to this was a position as Summer Associate with the law firm of Paul Hastings, Janofsky & Walker in Los Angeles. Contributing to a range of cases, he gained experience preparing legal memoranda and researching legal issues on pending litigation. He also represented a child adoption case on a pro bono basis.
Educated at the University of California, Los Angeles, R. Brent Wisner earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy in 2005. His undergraduate achievements include participating in the Mock Trial National Championships and earning recognition as All-American Attorney by the American Mock Trial Association. Continuing his education at Georgetown University, he earned his Master of Public Policy and his Juris Doctor in 2010. During the course of his legal studies, he gained professional experience as a Summer Extern with the United States Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles’s Civil Fraud Division and as a Legal Intern to the Institute of Religion and Public Policy in Washington, DC.
