I am a licensed Attorney with experience practicing Family Law, Immigration and Employment Discrimination Law since 2008. I serve Oakland and San Francisco.
Prior to my solo practice, I worked on Asylum cases with Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights, Bay Area Legal Services and Arya & Pennington LLP. I have experience with H1-B applications through work with the Zaidenweber Law Firm.
I previously worked in the legal field of Employment Discrimination Litigation assisting clients with a variety of complex employment issues including: harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of contract, whistleblower/retaliation, leave of absence claims, wage and hour matters, and class action litigation.
I served as the Ruth Chance Law Fellow for Equal Rights Advocates, where I represented women and girls who were discriminated against on the basis of sex in employment and school. In 2010, I took part in Maher v. City of Fresno in which the jury awarded her client $2.46 million damages for sex discrimination and hostile work environment.
I obtained my law degree from New York Law School in 2008 and was admitted to the California Bar the same year. I am admitted to practice in the Eastern District of California and the Ninth Circuit. During law school, I was the President for the Latin American Law Student’s Association, and received the Chief Justice Rose E. Bird Award for Motivation in Pursuing Public Interest Law, Alumni Scholarship Award for academic excellence, and a Solomon Public Service Fellowship.
I have worked in the areas of employment discrimination and other civil rights litigation at the Urban Law Clinic, the Urban Justice Center, the United States Attorney’s Office, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
